To paint this
simple Jungle Tiger chalk board
You
will need
Blackboard (chalk board paint) Color- black
Black artists acrylic paint
Orange artists acrylic paint
A thick black marker pen(optional)
A little bit of white acrylic paint (optional)
Masking tape
Paint brushes
How
to do it.

Print out the image and enlarge it on a photocopier to
the size you require, You may have to enlarge it in sections and tape the
pieces together to make a good sized board.
or project it onto the wall with an overhead projector and trace
it onto the wall.

Rub the back of your enlarged image with a soft colored
pencil.

Tape the image to the wall in the position you require
(not too high, so your child can reach to draw on it)

With a ball point pen draw over the lines which will transfer
the design onto the wall.

Tape the edges of the board with masking tape. This will
give you a neat line.

Tape the inside edges of the blackboard area.

Paint in your orange color of the border and tiger.

Mix in a little black acrylic paint into some orange to
create a darker tone and paint in the tigers neck and paws.

Paint in his middle ear, eyes and nose in black

Use the black marker or fine brush to paint his mouth line
and claw lines.

With a bit of white paint put a hightlight on his nose
and eyes.

Lastly remove the masking tape from inside the chalkboard
area and apply a new layer to the outside of the area.

Paint in the chalkboard with the black chalk board paint.
If necessary apply a second coat once the first coat is dry.

When all the paint is dry remove the masking tape.
All that's left is to hand
your child some colored chalk get scribbling!
